I would like to gain job experience in a different field to better equip me for my future career. Opportunity for employment with this company would allow me to broaden my own experiences with a new team as well as help me to expand my own set of skills. My expansive history with both the customer service and child care industries have prepared me to work with people from all walks of life, and my friendly and bubbly personality would be an asset to any team. Experience

February 2017 – present

After school care/summer camp supervisor, Kamloops community YMCA-YWCA

–          During the school year I work after school with the children engaging in programs such as swimming, and park play as well as day excursions on Pro-D days

–          During the summer I am a site supervisor for one of the three summer campsites through the YMCA and handled day to day behavioural and first aid issues as well as the daily management of up to 19 children

–          I have personal interactions day to day with the parents and guardians and have helped to resolve challenging behaviour.

–          Summer of 2018 and spring of 2019 I solely planned the entirety of the summer camp program, which included contacting and scheduling with businesses, writing emails and conducting meetings as well as coming up with games and activities and crafts for the children for three separate 9-week programs.

–          I have worked over 1000 hours with children in a leadership and supervisory role.

August 2013 – Present

Chocolate connoisseur, Purdys Chocolatier

–          I was awarded my five-year appreciation of service for the company in 2018 but have gone on to work another two years with the company and am still currently employed.

–          I am a trusted key holder responsible for both the opening and closing of the store as well as the day to day running.

–          I was entrusted with the nightly deposit and handling of cash in the store.

–          I was recently trained on the ordering of both chocolate products and ice cream for the store

–          I am entrusted with working storewide inventories as well as the unloading and unpacking of stock.

–          I have a vast knowledge of chocolate and customer service skills.

– Over my nearly seven years with the company I have been trained with problem-solving techniques I use day to day in with customers.

–          I flourished within a high-pressure workplace throughout four Christmas seasons.

April 2016 – November 2016

–          I operated the POS, cleaned, helped with end of day cash-up, as well as organizing and unpacking the stock
